irresponsible TV advertising during Olympics

The current McDonalds TV advertising during the NBC coverage of the 2008 is the most irresponsible piece of advertising that I have ever seen.

It targets children and promotes obesity over sporting achievement.

It shows 2 teams of kids playing soccer, the winning team picks up the trophy to celebrate, whilst the losing team picks up a McDonalds meal, at this point the winning team drops/ throws away the trophy supposedly envious of the losing team

How McDonalds can be allowed to air such a message to millions is unbelievable!

I have read the youtube comments and they see the commercial differently. They see children involved in soprts ect. Also it is a commercial to promote Mcodnalds. Eating out once in a while won't hurt you, especially if you are involved in physical activity. Report
