Hello, I seem to remember reading that if a merchant discovers a counterfeit bill, that they are required by law to keep it and turn it in to authorities. But, that does not excuse the merchant from lying about calling the police.

I think you could make a formal complaint with the police about the conduct of the merchant.

But, I doubt you will get back your original five dollars whether or not it was counterfeit in the beginning.

You should check your order before you get home. When you check it at the site, and it is wrong, they will correct it promptly.

McDonalds in Buford, Georgia - Old Food

At exactly 11 oclock I placed an order for a quarter lb meal. I first asked if the $3.99 promotion was in effect. The manager (Hispanic female) informed me that this McDonalds (inside Walmart on hwy 150) did not honor promotions which is not true cause I've done it before at this same restaurant. Anyway I placed my order for the quarter lb meal at the normal price. It was a eat-in order. After a couple of bites I notice the bun and the meat was stale. I told the mgr and she just gave me this dumb stare. Another employee (Hispanic male) who I believe prepared this junk had this smirk on his face. Nobody offered to replace the meal nor did they offer an apology. They knew I was eating in but still didn't gave a dam. I'm calling corporate tomorrow because first they should have honored the promotional price and here I am paying full price for yesterday leftovers!!@@##$ ***!!!! The only reason I mention hispanic is so someone can identify these two employees.

McDonalds in Macclenny, Florida - Disrespectful Managers!!!

I order a couple mcdoubles in drive thru at the mcdanolds in Macclenny Florida. There was a young lady at the first window just as sweet as she could be, so I had to ask for her name because she is the only one that was always polite, her name is Nisha. Anyways my order was wrong so I went in to talk to the manager, but I waited for almost 15 min... before a manager came. I told her my problem which she seem to have an attitude but she got my order strait. As I was waiting. She was talking about her own co-workers also using profanity. Also the men there was Touching all over another manager there. And neither of them was doing nothing about it. I asked the manager i spoke with for her name and she said javonda. I have NEVER seen unprofessional managers in my life. you dont embarass or treat your co-workers like trash. So who ever is in charge better take care of this problem or I will take my business else where......

I disagree with most commenters, if you went to any 'normal' restaurant you wouldn't be charged for sauces, it's part of eating at a restaurant. The grocery store comparison is absurd.

By the way, no matter how brand new the McDonalds (why that mattered in your post I do not know), the mocha and latte machine SHUTS down automatically to clean and sanitize itself every so many hours and those drinks are not available. If you have a question, just ask.

Mocha drinks, hot or cold, come with whipped cream - ask for it without.

And it is difficult & time-consuming to put your hand under steaming hot coffee machine to add splenda while others wait behind you - just ask for a packet. Walk inside and watch your drink being made once

McDonalds in Agoura Hills, California - Mc Donald on Las Virgenes rd in Calabasas

This Mc DOnald needs to be closed down, They have made so many mistakes on my orders and in couple of occasions I had to pull over on the side after picking up my order on drive through lane and go inside the place. After ordering your food on drive through, when you drive up to pay, they ask you again what did you order? and give you a different order. I have complaint to the manager inside the store also and he did not do anything about it, his words to me were: I'm sorry, I will give you free french fries! that was his protectiveness, he could care less about his stores employee's mistakes! the employees are also from the same ethnicity so the manager seems to back them all up. These people should not be employed. They do not deserve paychecks, they are so rude and useless! especially the guy that hands you the order at the end, he spilled to coffee on my car once and just closed his window. Really *** people! and smart as a door ***

If you go to any drive-thru on a regular basis, you will encounter a mistake or two. It is the nature of FAST food.

Anything prepared & served in 90 seconds or less may suffer in accuracy. It has nothing to do with ethnicity, that is ignorant on your part. A quick meal, a drink, that is easy to check. If you have a large order, go inside.

That helps with accuracy and makes more sense than holding up the drive-thru for those with quick drink orders, etc. People whine all day, that's why it's hard for them to appear to care after awhile

I used to be a manager at this location and to tell you the truth it does no justice to how it could be ran. It is a disgrace for a corporate store and has overt racism screaming from the rooftops. I love the company, but this location needs McDonalds internal affairs- SERIOUSLY!!!!!

I went today to McDonald's on Westport Avenue, in Norwalk CT. I ordered 2 new Grilled Onion Cheddar Burgers that I seen in a commercial. I brought them back to my office to eat them, I took the wrapper off the burger to find 3 strands of so call Grilled onions, Dry as a piece of used leather. Very disappointed with Mc donalds. I will never eat their again. How could you even try to sell a New Burger like this, when it's not edible to the consumer. I even going to the BBB and show them the pictures that I had taken with my I-phone and what junk is being feed to the consumer.

Yep, give them a chance to make it right. The same as you would want someone to do if you messed up at your job.

These are new burgers as you said and possibly the employee didn't get the right measurement. You act like you spent $20 on steak instead of $2. Wow once I got spoiled milk at my grocery store. Maybe the seal was loose.

I went back and exchanged it. I didn't freak out. "Aaarghh.

I will never buy milk again! Alas!"

You should have saved the burgers and taken them back to McDonalds after work and asked for the manager instead of posting here. You didnt give McDonalds a chance to make things right.

The BBB won't do anything about that. A sandwich that you consider bad, isn't what they concern themselves with.
